Village Hotel Changi Staycation – Play and Stay Fun

Village Hotel Changi

Our first Staycation probably starts with our wedding night at Ritz Carlton hotel 11 years ago. From then on, we went back to the same hotel almost every year as we love its hospitality and the luxurious room and also the place is a reminisce of our special Big day. In between, we did check out Marriott Hotel, Royal Plaza on Scotts Hotel, Marina Bay Sands, and Festive Hotel. On most times, we chose staycation as an alternative to travelling out of Singapore and did mostly impromptu arrangements. I hardly blog about staycation unless it is family friendly. So as you can guess, how this post came about. We were invited by Far East Hospitality to try out the “Play and Stay” package at Village Hotel Changi and upon hearing what the package had in store for us, I knew we would be having a fun time as a family of 5.

PNKids Multivitamin Syrup + Free Photobook +{Giveaway}

We all have periods of time when our body immune system is not at its most optimal. And some of us have times when we have a particular period in our lives when we will pop into health supplement shops to get a bottle or 2 of multivitamins, etc to boost our immunity. When my kids came along and especially once they entered childcare centres, the common “fear” of kids falling sick easily in enclosed environment full of children was very real and proven. So, that’s how the kiasu mummy in me went to Watsons, Guardian, departmental stores to spend many afternoons to read through the labels of all the seemingly terrific multivitamin brands.

Over the years, we have changed many brands, some multivitamins gummies were hard, some were too sweet and eventually, we settled on PNKids gummies which the kids have not asked to change to any other brand ever since. No wonder PNKids has been ranked No.1 Kids Multivitamin Brand in Singapore last year in the Western pharmacy stores according to AC Nielson report and has been awarded “Top Brand” in the kids dietary supplements category! Also, my due diligence to check out the labels tells me that PNKids only uses premium grade ingredients and strictly without artificial flavours and colours.

PNKids gummies were not too sweet in my opinion because we have tasted sweeter ones. I didn’t really like that it was full of sugar coating. However, I found out that the sugar coat was really to prevent the gummies from sticking together than to entice children further with its sweetness. Come to think of it, an innocent sip of soft drink is probably many times more than the amount of sugar coated on each gummy.

Do you know that now, they have SUGAR-FREE GUMMIES?! No more worrying about sugar-induced hyperactive children. Oh, and the kids love the surprises that come with each packaging.

Also, do you always wonder what is stated as BOY and GIRL on PNKids multivitamins gummies has actually no difference in their amount of vitamins?

The only difference is the toys inside! Imagine a boy getting a “surprise” when he sees a doll inside the box!

Chinese Show and Tell Camp – KidStartNow

{Sponsored Review}

This June holidays, I had planned a series of activities for the children. The very first one is KidStartNow Show and Tell Camp for my 8yo boy. If you do remember that 2 years ago, he also attended Chinese enrichment holiday classes at the very same centre and the experience was a very enjoyable one. And 2 years later, when he was invited for this 4 day Show and Tell camp, I was a little skeptical about whether he would enjoy as much now that he is older. Nowadays for any media invite, sponsored classes, I would have to ask the kids if they would like to attend. Kids have grown up and they need to have a say in what they are attending right? So when my boy heard that he would be taught by HongMei laoshi again, he was ecstatic and agreed immediately. Wow! I didn’t know a short 4 day camp 2 years back can have such positive impression on this boy.

As before, my boy received an invitation card prior to the day he went for the camp which is always a pleasant surprise. Which kid does not like an invitation mailed to him?

This time the class was held in the newly open branch at Bedok Central. I was impressed by the interior design of the centre which has a Super Hero Panda theme. The panda theme is also the theme for the classes. Yes, the classes have a theme, so, it engages the kids well.
