DIY Daiso wooden blocks fun

It has been a while since I last bring out the painting set and do some art and craft with the kids.

I remembered Mum in the making blog on Daiso small wooden blocks and decided to do something similar too.

I bought 3 sets of 12 blocks size 30x30x30mm ($2ea x 3), 2 triangular blocks ($2 x 2) and a wooden case to keep the blocks ($2).

I would highly recommend to use a sand paper to smoothen the edges and surfaces to protect little fingers before starting the below activity.

Simple art and craft – Salt Art

All mummies should have a ready stock of art and craft supplies for “rainy days”. Yes, rainy days or days when unexpected events happened, and you have to stay home with your kids. So, I really have to thank the mummy blogger at Ingspirations who shared her simple salt art idea and it saved my day when the kids were bored and had nothing to do at home.

The first intriguing thing that struck me was how salt can turn colour so easily by twirling a chalk or in my case, we ran out of chalk, and used pastel colours from Daiso. Continue reading “Simple art and craft – Salt Art”

A simple gift for Teacher’s Day

This friday is Teacher’s Day.  As usual, we would be busy preparing for Teacher’s Day gifts for my kids’ teachers.  For most of the years, I would go with my kids to choose a reasonable budgeted gift for each of the teachers they want to show appreciation to.  But this year, I decided to make some simple gifts, mainly inspired by Simply Mommie‘s gift ideas.
