It’s tough being a perfect role model to your kids

Kids are mirror images of their parents.

Whatever we do and however we do, our kids see, hear, digest and churn out exactly the same and often hits you in stark familiarity. Continue reading “It’s tough being a perfect role model to your kids”

I am thankful for…

I am thankful quotes

This quote caught my attention and had me paused in my tracks to digest each and every sentence.

These quotes are such mundane things in life that often are taken for granted and easily lamented upon.  Earlier, I have written 2 posts that require much reflection and appreciation of my life.  The first is “It’s the simple things that count” where I paused for a moment to reflect on what I have now at this point of my life and really find much to be contented with. The second post is “Reminders to myself as a wife and mummy” which reminded me to do checks on myself on my attitude towards my hubby and children. I find such self-checks extremely important and meaningful to me as I tend to get blinded with the busy schedule everyday.  It’s so easy to forget what you already have.

So, here it is, these quotes lead me to appreciate being able to work,  being able to hear, walk, talk, having a lovely home and a lovely family, and being alive among many other things that I may conveniently complain about and take for granted.

Have you ever paused in the moment to reflect what you have right now? You may find that you have so many things to be thankful for.

Wow! I can’t believe I have finally decided on starting a facebook page for Kids “R” Simple!

It’s already 2am in Singapore time and I am trying to fight off sleep and endure my heavy eyelids while containing my excitement!  I really do like to give a shout out to share my joy that I am bringing my parenting blog to a new level!

Firstly, I really would like to thank my readers who have been following me through in all my blog posts! You have been wonderful in leaving lovely comments, sharing your experiences and allowing me to gain insights to many, many tips on parenting and anything. I have also learnt so much more in reading your blogs and many other great blogs out there.  And I really hope all of you have been enjoying my shares on parenting thoughts.

I really do wish to reach the stars or rather over the moon tonight and many other nights if you would click that facebook button on the right hand side of my blog.  I actually do feel shy in this simple request. But, I really need your support!

Thank you everyone! Stay tune to more of my posts on Kids “R” Simple!

Can mums really travel without kids?

My mum tells me how lucky I am to have a job which I can come home on time on most days and do not need to travel. Although that usually equates to not being a high flyer or high frequency flyer, I am thankful for my job that gives me the precious time I need with my kids. So, when my boss told me to travel on business, my first thought goes to my kids at home. Who’s going to take care of them? What will happen to them when I am away? How will my kids take it that I am away? How shall I tell them about this without tears pouring over little sulking faces? Continue reading “Can mums really travel without kids?”
