Starting Primary 1 and my laid back attitude towards grades

I remembered how XX started her first day of school 2 years ago. It seems like yesterday. And this year, it is YH’s turn to go to Primary 1. That reminds me of his first day in childcare when he was 3, and now 4 years later, he is a grown up boy, still a mummy’s boy in my eyes, starting formal school.

Just like how XX did, YH settled pretty well in his first days in primary school. I was surprised at his relaxed attitude on the first day. It wasn’t this way during the orientation organized by the school. He clung on to me and was not too keen in meeting new friends then. That got me a little worried. My Little Toddler at 16th month

My baby has become a toddler! Now I am beginning to miss his baby days! It’s been 3 months since I updated his progress at 13th month. My Little Gem is 16 months old now. The major development here is striking out his first step at 14th month. It’s a great development milestone for him. Even though it’s late, we are still super proud of him! Don’t all mums feel proud of every milestone no matter how small it might be? Continue reading “My Little Toddler at 16th month”

The blog post has 368 shares at the time of publishing this post and counting! Continue reading “Your stats are booming! [+behavior chart printable for younger kids]”

It’s the start of the new year! It’s time to reset everything, forget unhappy moments in the past year, and look forward to starting anew in the new year!

On New Year’s day 1st Jan 2014, I tried to have a happy day to start off the year on a happy note. I tried to avoid scolding the kids on that day. I tried to forget about my blog (I was busy thinking of what to post for the brand new year). I tried to ignore all sorts of notifications on my Samsung mobile (wordpress, facebook, whatsapp, thank god I do not have twitter). I tried to be a good yummy mummy (a smiling, soft spoken and pretty mum). Yes, the key word here is “tried“. My Best Blog Posts in 2013

I have started my blog since 2011, however, only since August 2013 have I started getting active in the blogging community. It’s a wonderful thing to be able to do what you like and know many other like-minded bloggers at the same time. Reading the thoughtful comments and even encouragement from my readers during some down period really touches me greatly. I wish to, from time to time, thank my readers in various ways. Now, here is one way where I consolidate my 5 best posts in 2013 to thank you again! Why 5 posts you might ask? I think 10 would be too long a list and end up boring you to scroll quickly to the last number! So, here’s your votes and favourites! Continue reading “My Best Blog Posts in 2013”
